I just got my device in and want to make sure I understand how this device is trained with. From what I understand, I need to just breathe and try to focus (on red dot, I guess...? If not that, then what?) and ideally my score should go up in time?
I've seen the word "ratio" used here, and how that should be going up, as well. What exactly does that correlate to?
Also, is there a way to get more interesting games set up to be used with this device?
Thanks!
One note is make sure the ratio is not fluctuating rapidly, power source and sometimes crappy USB ports will confound the signal but its pretty obvious if you arent getting a fairly steady graph
Hey Jeff, yep that's it, you are just trying to raise O2 levels in your brain over a sustained period and the "games" are really just visuals to reflect the score and help you focus, where the score is just an exaggerated change in the ratio. Higher ratio is correlated with more blood oxygen (more red light measured = more HBO2 being reflected). More is better, pretty simple rule, and sustaining higher brain blood oxygen for a period works just like a form of exercise, and specifically for your brain. For games click on the Feedback option for more visuals including audio and video you can load in, and a 3D effect on the chrome extension. There are 5 options on the wifi interface and 6 on the extension. Plenty more to come as well and with more polish, I've just been in the middle of some other work and learning a thing or two to up my game.
