Not receiving data

Just setup my device for the first time and I can't figure out why it's not receiving data. Red light on the head piece is on but the app just says "Awaiting Data...". I've hit Reset, Start HEG, closed out and back in a few times, covered the headband with my hand to make sure it was dark enough. Any ideas?

The new file still giving me the FAIL message. I tried the new .bin file only - is that right? Also the Chrome Extension didn't work. Any other ideas?

Yeah just email me your shipping address (hegalpha@gmail.com) and I'll just send you a new esp32 piece that I know works, not sure what the problem is at this point

I have the Lolin. Do you mean to try the HEG_WIFI...Feather.6_2_20.bin?

Okay the first one you tried should work then. Let me reupload the update file, maybe I rolled it back to an errored-out file on accident. Try the chrome extension meantime.

So when I go to update, I locate the file but when I hit Upload, it does to a white page that says FAIL in the upper left corner. Is it a problem that when connected to the HEG wifi, I'm not connected to our regular wifi so can't reach anything else? And yes, that is the IP I'm connecting to. The file I chose is HEG_WIFI_BLE_Lolun32.6_2_20.bin.

I think the webapp, on Chrome. Yes, original kit, preassembled. As an aside, do I need to update the firmware? I was just going to give that a go.

So you're at 192.168.4.1 then? Hmm data should be automatic but give the update a go. You can right click and Inspect the page and check the console for output as well. For the chrome extension you need to get and set the Silicon Labs CP210X (or something close to that) serial port in the top right corner first. If those fail I'll just mail you a replacement ESP32 hub that will work, some end up duds after going through the mail for whatever reason, probably a cold solder joint most of the time.

Are you using the chrome extension or the webapp? This is on original kit?
