Hi and first thank you for developing the HEGduino!
I was using the device last night and suddenly it just stopped working. The device is brand new and I had used it around 20 minutes or so on that day. At one point wi-fi was gone and didn't reappear after reconnecting the device. I checked port settings under the device manager and it said that the device requires further installations and there was also a following warning:
"Device USB\VID_10C4&PID_EA60\01DF88B7 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match".
Then I decided to do something that was not so clever and uninstalled the driver just to see if a reinstallation would fix it. Now the device is located under the other devices not under Ports (COM & LPT). My best guess was that I should somehow update the driver but I'm not sure how to do that. Please let me know if you have any ideas how to fix this.
PS! I don't know if that helps but I have another device that is working perfectly on the same machine (Win 10, Home).
Thank you for the quick reply! I replied via hegalpha@gmail.com
Hmmmmm I honestly have no clue why it would suddenly stop working like that unless it got wet and somehow bridged the wrong pins, or something. Sounds like the firmware went kaput which is not common unless a wire gets crossed somehow. You could try to install the firmware again fresh with Arduino but it's probably best I just send you a replacement piece as free warranty is my policy for these kinds of things.
